Assessment and Reporting
Reporting to Parents
While our classroom teachers are available to discuss your child’s progress throughout the school year, there are key times of year when we formally report to parents:
Interim Reports (End of Term 1)
A formal time will be set in Term 1 for Parent Teacher Interviews. It is desirable that one adult member of the family attend. Classroom teachers will provide a brief verbal progress report at this meeting. Information about booking an appointment time will be circulated prior to interviews being scheduled.
Formal Reports (Term 2)
All parents will be given their child's formal, end of semester report at the end of the term. If you require an interview to discuss your child's report, please make an appointment directly with your class teacher.
Student Report (Term 2 & Term 4)
Formal reporting is completed in late June and early December each year.
Parents of Pre-primary students receive a report outlining their child’s learning progress, while the achievements of students from Years 1 – 6 are documented on formal report cards.
5-Point Scale
The Australian Government has decreed that schools are to provide specific information of student achievement of the National Standards in formal report to parents that include an assessment against achievement levels labelled A - E grades, which describes how well students achieve.
